My Story
I know what it's like to do everything right and still feel terrible.
I'm Cindi Stickle — Functional Nutrition Practitioner, Certified Menopause Specialist, and someone who lived this firsthand.
I have four nutrition certifications. I tracked my macros. I added strength training five days a week. I started BHRT. I did everything by the book.
And after ten months of doing all of it?
I lost seven pounds.
Seven.
I was frustrated. Embarrassed, honestly. I knew the science. I knew what should work.
But here's what I didn't fully understand yet: my nervous system was stuck in overdrive. My body wasn't broken — it was overwhelmed. And an overwhelmed body holds on to weight, tanks your energy, and ignores every "right" thing you do.
That's the piece no one talks about in menopause.
It's also the piece that changes everything.
It Started With My Own Body Not Cooperating
My health journey didn't start with menopause.
It started in 1996 — with gestational diabetes during both of my pregnancies.
That experience cracked something open in me. I became obsessed with understanding how food affects the body at a metabolic level. What we eat. How it signals our hormones. Why two people can eat the exact same thing and have completely different results.
Then in 2001, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and Hypothyroidism.
And suddenly I wasn't just studying this stuff academically. I was living it.
I cleaned up my family's entire way of eating — ditched the processed food, read every label, made things from scratch. And I watched what happened when you actually give your body what it needs.
It worked.
Not perfectly. Not overnight. But it worked.
That's when I knew this wasn't just a personal interest.
It was what I was supposed to do.

I've spent nearly three decades studying, practicing, and living this work.
And I kept noticing the same thing: women in perimenopause and menopause were being completely underserved. Dismissed by doctors. Overwhelmed by conflicting advice. Doing everything right and feeling worse.
So I went deep.
